Joe led him to the back alley behind the recording studio. Joe didnt want to get his brother in more trouble. He truly felt bad about everything that happened last night. Joe knew that Nick apparently didnt get it when his father spanked him yesterday. Joe knew that if he told his father about what Nicky had done, that not only would Joe get in trouble because he was alone with Nick when it happened, but also his dad would severely punish Nick. When Paul was about to hit Nick for the first time with his belt because he had been disrespectful to him, Joe jumped in and convinced his dad to allow Nick to go to the beach with him to calm down.
