We all “know” now, that cigarette smoking is terrible for you. It’s definitely buy pack of cigarettes you. It is on billboards all over the place. It is in our TV commercials. We are constantly on almost any source, that tobacco is bad for us bombed … But wait … something makes no sense. When ephedrine was discovered to be bad for you, it was immediately declared illegal, but cigarettes are still legal? What about the age limit? Why it’s okay, at eighteen, seventeen, but not smoking? Our body is really ready for tobacco from the time we are eighteen, but not before? Something is definitely quirky. As you read on, take a part of our journey as we seek the truth about tobacco.
Our first hurdle was to find a credible source that said something good about tobacco. We spent a lot of research time on the search for such sources. We found a couple of tobacco studies that tobacco is perhaps the best way to prevent Parkinson’s disease was confirmed. You read correctly, tobacco not only reduces the chances of getting Parkinson’s disease, but also eliminates the chance at all. As we continue our search did find more sources that Parkinson’s disease study, we were not previously supported. Then we came across a study by Harvard Clinical Research Institute, which are done completely shocked. The Institute found that tobacco actually good for your heart! I know we had to reread the study several times we finally believe. Where the coverage in the media about this? I mean this is huge news. As far as I know, smoking is the cause of heart disease, cancer, and half of the diseases that exist today, but here is a study of perhaps the most credible of all clinic that tobacco is actually good finds? What’s going on?
Here’s something that makes no sense. With all the advertising campaigns, which in your face, how vile tobacco has decreased the amount of smoking significantly over the last twenty years. But the volume of heart disease and cancer, including lung and mouth cancer has increased … why? Where is the correlation here? So we have to dig deeper. We find another curious discovery in Sweden. Apparently, children whose parents smoke less of a chance to actually get asthma not smoke then children, their parents? At this point I’m totally confused … what’s going on? Why do I find so much credible information that completely contradicts what I have always been told, and know to be true about tobacco? Where is the missing piece? I go through the studies that smoking is bad for you, and finally to support a clue. This anti-smoking studies use subjects who smoke cigarettes brand name. I went back to the original investigations, I found that there were pro-tobacco and noticed that the pro-tobacco studies using pure, fresh-grown tobacco leaf. So my next question was: “Cigarettes are bad, because the name brand companies add things to the tobacco?” That still does not explain my earlier question, why we have more cancer and heart problems if the entire population smoking less?
I decided to look at what exactly the two major tobacco companies use in their cigarettes, and why start? This search led me to another rabbit trail. I’ve tried to become the company websites that give nothing usable, although they state that they do ingredients added for flavor and preservation. They have used a few of the most common ingredients list of most cigarette companies, but state that they are not trade secrets because all the ingredients … that was a waste of time … I backtracked and tried to go through the university seeks to finally yielded to what I wanted.
Apparently the material is used in the major brands … I can not awful enough of a word to describe it to think. Here is just a partial list: Arsenic used in rat poison, acetic acid, which is used in hair dyes and photographic developers; acetone, which is the main ingredient in paint and nail polish remover, ammonia, a typical household cleaner is, benzene, which is used in rubber cement, cadmium, which is used in batteries and artists oil paint found; hydrazine, which is used in jet and rocket fuels, formaldehyde, used to dead bodies will be embalmed, hydrogen cyanide, the poison used in gas chambers; naphthalenes which contain nickel, which is used in the process of electroplating;; phenol which is used in disinfectants and plastics industry, is in explosives, moth balls and color pigments used polonium radiation, the dosage is 300 radiographs of the chest in a year toluene on the embalmer’s glue. When I go to the bottom of this list, I can not help but shudder … why? Why would anyone want to add these substances to be used on a product for human consumption? In addition, you can not be released to the world as the FDA for such a product to the public? This is always frustrating because the more I have the more questions I and the less credible sources available search … yes, I find no credible source that can answer the why …
So where do we go from here? It seems pretty obvious, right? Pure tobacco leaf, these side effects: none (well, except for the smell) and has the following advantages: prevents breast cancer, preventing a certain type of skin cancer, reduces stress, helps in losing weight, preventing Parkinson’s disease, slows the progression of Alzheimer’s, and the list goes on. Tobacco brand name has these side effects: lung cancer, mouth cancer, almost all other cancers, the lung revealed in a nasty tar that makes it harder for you to breath, and the list goes on … Benefits? Not so much. I still can not say that tobacco is good for you, but maybe it is not to kill you.
